Last Day of February!

WOW, can't believe it is already the last day of February! Weird!!!

Last week I said I might be transferred next transfer. Well, I don't know for sure, but when there's only a small group of sisters and everyone stays in their area for about 3 transfers, you can figure it out. I've been in Lopburi for 3 now. Plus, 3 new sisters are coming in next transfer. Which means, three sisters have to move at least. That could be me! Chiangmai is the city that every missionary wants to serve. It is the most beautiful part of the country but also the poorest. Needless to say, any picture of Thailand or trip to Thailand is from Chiangmai. It's the farthest north you can go in this mission. It has the nickname "heaven" and the city next to it is "exaltation". Ya, everyone goes crazy when someone gets sent up there. It's so nice! :-)

So this week, was good. Many people insisted on feeding us Somtum. Sometimes I thought I was going to die from the spiciness. That's okay, I endured.

We have an investigator from Singapore who speaks some random Chinese language but she says it's the Singapore Chinese. I've never heard of it or seen it. They have a whole different character system too. So, will someone find out if that's real or not? I've tried but none of us can figure her language out. Ya, I'm not going to go into that.

Great exciteness is in the air as the branch is preparing to take their yearly trip to the Hong Kong temple. They leave in 2 weeks. It will be weird to have them all gone.

Sorry, once again, I can't remember any stories from this week. Don't worry, they're all in my journal.

Love you all!!!!

Summer Break!!!!

YAY!!!!! Happy Summer everybody!!!

I'm not too sure where spring was it definitely came and went in a matter of days. It's now summer. All the kids are getting out of school for their summer break. Everyone has just been jumping in the rivers and swimming (reminds me of Pollyanna and Little House on the Prairie). It's SUPER HOT here!!! I feel like I'm going to melt away sometimes. Fortunately next week our Summer schedule starts. We'll start work at 7am and then study in the afternoon and then go back out in the evening. This means going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Should be interesting. Oh and we have to study at the church as a district. Ya, weird.

So, this past Friday night the members had us come over and help them practice a song. They informed me then that I was to play the piano and that they're singing on Sunday. It is some arangement of a hymn. Ya, I slaughtered it. They still keep asking me to play though. Sis. Chambers is way better at piano than me. I hope they choose her in the future.

Oh ya, Sis. Chambers is my new companion!!! She was in the district right above me in the MTC. So we actually know each other really well. It's been a lot of fun so far!!! I think next moves I'm moving though.... Chiangmai..... please (cross your fingers everybody)!

Love you!!!!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hello Everyone,
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!
Sorry I don’t have much time to talk about everything this week. I just got back from an awesome Sisters activity at the mission house. Sis. Smith is so cute! We made Valentine’s cards and decorated cookies. Not to mention a yummy lunch!!
So, this past week was great! It’s sad because it is Sis. Supansa’s last week here in Lopburi (she's not done with her mission, she has till next march) but it’s been a good one!
Ya, we didn’t have a baptism this week. Seems to be the story of my life.
um... I exchanged with Sis. Hirschi for 3 days this week. That was fun!
Well, Love you all,
Em

Cherry's baptism is kind of up in the air right now. She might now get baptized this Sunday. She certainly will sometime in the future though.

Ya, the weird thing about being in this zone is that we are the only sisters in it. Makes zone activities interesting ya know.

My investigators have been talking about the weather in America and how I wouldn't want to go back. hahaha! Didn't realize it was that bad!
Wow, crazy it is already February! Sis. Supansa and I are enjoying some of our last few days together! SAD! I'm going to miss her. This week I get to have a 3 day exchange with Sis. Hirschi here in Lopburi. We'll get to relive the old days together.

Obviously Sis. Supansa and I made it back home last week. We just stepped out of the internet cafe when the 2tow came. If we missed that one, we would've been stuck for another 2 hours! Sheesh! It was a great adventure last week! As promised, here are the photos.

Great week. We've been focusing on trying to get the Proclamation to the World out to the people because that is what Thailand is struggling with the most. It's been amazing to see how that opens people up. We just give it to people and when we see them next time, they just start crying to us about how they want everything in it. They literally plead with us to know how to get these things. We're like, "well...."

Ya, it's been a great experience. I'm sorry this is so short, but this will have to do.

Love you all!!!
